OUTWOD is the largest international initiative for bringing together LGBT+ athletes and their allies to raise funds for local charitable organizations and sweat together in a safe, inclusive group fitness environment.
The buzz is big and, thanks to the efforts of its founder Will Lanier, continues to build. Events are hosted by various gyms across the world so it's best to keep tabs through their social channels. Session highlights include big smiles, teamwork, and one hell of a playlist.

The Marcus Graham Project assists minority students prepare for, and find, careers in the advertising industry. Their mission, and theory, is that by investing in the exposure, training and mentorship of the next generation of talent, they will see a return in the development of a vast talent pool of marketplace leaders in media and marketing.
They launched with 7 participants. Since then the program has garnered an incredible amount of attention both in the media, the industry and amongst current and future professionals and expanded to Chicago, Detroit, and Cleveland.
July '17 was their 10 year anniversary where, at the Oprah Ballroom in Washington DC, we premiered a video celebrating their past accomplishments and vision for the future.

LUNGevity Foundation was founded in 2001 by seven people who had each had been diagnosed with lung cancer. It was their vision and passion for finding a cure that resulted in LUNGevity’s phenomenal growth.
Partnership began with Alex Adkins, a talented performer/leader with an unstoppable passion for his craft. Alex single-handedly organized TCU's License To Trill, a mixed A Capella group that has been making waves locally with their hearts and nationally with their talent. They continue to "trill" fans, like me, as they bring attention to art and life-saving causes.

The Dallas Red Foundation is a nonprofit organization focused on providing financial support to organizations in the North Texas area that serve individuals affected by HIV/AIDS.
Collaboration began 7 years ago and every year the Dallas Red Foundation reaches new heights. We now assist with bold, vibrant expressions of the organizations many events.
Their growth alone is remarkable but the relationships and experience gained has been the true reward.

Impulse Group Dallas is a group of socially active gay men, in collaboration with AIDS Healthcare Foundation (AHF), whose purpose is to promote healthier sexual lifestyles using modern social approaches.
The group accomplishes it's vision by starting the conversation of prevention and safer sex though social events, education and outreach in the Dallas gay community.

My experience with The Boy Scouts of America is a personal one. It wasn't at age 18, when I received the honor of Eagle Scout, that I recognized it's impacts. It's only now, as real life happens, that I find myself truly grateful.
Let's put it this way: There have been many situations when seemingly natural instincts (humility, resilience, honesty) that have come into play and helped guide myself and others. Then, looking back, I find myself asking "Where did that come from?"
You aren't born brave. You are shown that you can be. So for every time I'm able to accept criticism, understand the value of honesty , believe in the strength of unity, or tie a mean shoe lace I know it's because of my family and the surrounding they've placed me in. Mom for always insisting I finish something, Dad for being at every function, and Sister for being as involved as the guys would let her. Scouts is there at a time when we are most "moldable" and present experiences that help shape your journey into adulthood.
